Songwriter Bex Marshall is an explosion of acoustic/rock/blues with a hot poker twist of country, possessing guitar skills that have been likened to Stevie Ray Vaughan. A stunning young guitarist, she exudes excitement and charisma as she preforms solo or with her band on stages across the globe. Her clever and imaginative lyrics invite you in to her world and her mellow toned capture the imagination and capticate her audience. Her vocals the been favourably compared with Nikki from Never the Bride and some say she is a like a rock cocktail of Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin - altogether more alive though!
Her songs, whilst contemporary, are destined to become timeless classics. A gregarious character, Bex commands the stage. Her cheeky rapport and obvious sex appeal couple with her brilliant talent to create an artist with Presence.
Fresh from a short tour of America and cherry-picked dates over Europr, she recently stared on UK telly and Tom Robinsons Radion Show. Soon to be heard on Whispering Bob Harris' show on Radio 2, not for the first time have the BBC picked a gem.
She has been on the bill with Robert Plant and Bob Dylan amongst others and can count Roger Daltry amongst her fan club quote "Where's she playing next?" In '08 she toured with HayseedSixie and recorded "Duelin' Banjos" with Don Wayne Reno of the 'Dixie.
Most importantly, she rides a bike and drinks Jack Daniels just the way a real rock'n'roll dudette should.
Her album Kitchen Table is currently riding in the States Roots chart and will be available at the gig. The album was given an excelent review by Classic Rock and is well worth buying and playing to death.
