The Royal Oak is a 17th Century pub in the heart of Chipping Sodbury’s thriving Broad Street district. It provides a variety of refreshments for the discerning punter. The bar manager is proud to serve a range of alcoholic and (to a much lesser degree) non-alcoholic beverages whilst sharing his razor-sharp wit with anyone that will listen. Jewells restaurant provides some great grub for those that like to put solids into a hydraulic system. Most importantly, TheBlokeinheOak provides the musical diversions on Thursdays and Sundays and details of the fine beat combo’s to be found playing in the pub can be found elsewhere in this site.

Suffice to say that the ‘Oak (as it is known to all and sundry) can provide all of your eating, drinking and especially musical requirements at very reasonable cost. Let’s face it, the bands are free... although any appreciation you show when the box is circulated is um, er, appreciated. Especially by the bands.

Thinking of coming down for the first time ? Check out the Gallery if you want a flavour of what to expect from the bloke in the Oak (or if you want a picture to hang on the fireplace to scare the children).
